Modupe Famurewa, FNSE, founded Viscera Energy in 2012 after a career building energy infrastructure across Sub-Saharan Africa. A Fellow of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, mechanical engineer by training, with an MSc in Project Management and an Executive MBA from Lagos Business School, Modupe brings two decades of operator-side experience to a company built on a simple proposition: the most credible partner to operate and maintain energy equipment is the partner authorized to supply it.
Under his leadership, Viscera has secured direct OEM agreements with thirty manufacturers across twelve countries, registered a Texas affiliate, obtained the NUPRC Oil and Gas Industry Service Provider permit, and executed equipment supply across Nigeria, Ghana, Angola, Equatorial Guinea, Senegal, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, and Kuwait.
Founder's Perspective
"The energy sector in Africa does not have a procurement problem. It has a trust problem. Operators and EPCs cannot afford to discover mid-project that their equipment supplier cannot produce factory documentation, MTCs, or a direct OEM contact for warranty claims. Viscera was built to be the partner that never creates that problem."
Professional Background
Career began in energy infrastructure across Sub-Saharan Africa, building the operator-side experience that Viscera is built upon.
Incorporated 2009; trading operations commenced 2012. Built on the proposition that the most credible O&M partner is the partner authorized to supply the equipment.
The highest grade of membership of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, awarded to members who have made sustained contributions to the engineering profession.
